Mike & Ron

Meet Mike & Ron

Intended Parents – Vancouver, BC

Mike and Ron live in Vancouver, British Columbia, where Ron is a university professor and Mike is a full-time parent. They are working with Olive Fertility and have five embryos ready as they continue their journey to grow their family.

After welcoming their son, Teddy, through surrogacy in 2021, Mike and Ron knew their family story wasn't quite complete. Having always dreamed of raising two children, they are now excited to begin another surrogacy journey to give Teddy the lifelong gift of a sibling. Their first experience with surrogacy showed them just how extraordinary this path to parenthood can be, and it strengthened their belief that surrogacy is a beautiful process built on kindness, trust, and the generosity of many people coming together to help create a family.

Mike and Ron have an incredible support system cheering them on. Their large extended families and close circle of friends have supported them from the very beginning of their first surrogacy journey and continue to celebrate every milestone with them. They enjoy sharing their story through social media and look forward to introducing another child into a family already overflowing with love, encouragement, and excitement.

Their first surrogacy journey created a lifelong friendship with their surrogate and her family—something they treasure deeply. They continue to stay in touch, sharing updates, milestones, photos, and videos as Teddy grows. For Mike and Ron, surrogacy is about so much more than welcoming a child; it's about creating lasting relationships built on gratitude, respect, and compassion. They hope to build that same meaningful connection with their future surrogate and her family, while always respecting the relationship that feels right for everyone involved.

Mike and Ron are excited to be active participants throughout the pregnancy. Whenever possible, they hope to attend appointments in person, or receive updates through text or video calls if distance makes travel difficult. Having experienced the incredible moment of witnessing Teddy's birth, they can't wait to once again be in the delivery room to welcome their newest child into the world.

In their spare time, Mike and Ron enjoy very different hobbies that perfectly complement one another. Mike loves going to the gym, crocheting, and experimenting with new recipes, while Ron enjoys taking long walks and hosting dinners with family and friends. Together, they love discovering new restaurants, travelling, and making memories by taking Teddy on new adventures around Vancouver and beyond. They cherish the welcoming community they have built in Wesbrook Village, where they are surrounded by beautiful parks, playgrounds, and nature trails that make it an ideal place to raise a family.

Family is at the heart of everything they do. Inspired by the love and guidance of their own parents, Mike and Ron hope to pass on the values of kindness, integrity, and compassion to their children. They believe communication, honesty, and mutual respect have been the foundation of their relationship over the past seven years and continue to guide them as partners and parents.

Mike and Ron are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow their family once again through surrogacy. They look forward to welcoming another child into a home filled with laughter, unconditional love, lifelong friendships, and countless adventures. Most of all, they are excited to watch Teddy become a big brother and to continue building the family they have always dreamed of.
