Geoffrey & Joseph
Meet Geoffrey & Joseph
Intended Parents – Melbourne, Australia
Geoff is a Corporate Advisor, and Joe is a Recruitment Manager. Together, they are pursuing their surrogacy journey through CReATe Fertility Centre in Toronto and currently have 11 PGS-tested embryos, with plans to transfer one at a time.
As a couple, Geoff and Joe have always known they wanted to become parents. After thoughtfully exploring their options, they felt strongly about having biological children and knew that surrogacy was the right path to help them build their family. Canada’s altruistic surrogacy model stood out to them for its ethical approach, strong medical system, and the opportunity to create meaningful, lasting relationships throughout the journey.
Both Geoff and Joe were raised in incredibly supportive and loving families, which has deeply shaped their values and their desire to create a family of their own. They are inspired by the strong foundations they were given and hope to provide the same sense of stability, encouragement, and unconditional love to their future children. Seeing their brothers raise families of their own has further strengthened their excitement for parenthood.
They are surrounded by a close-knit and enthusiastic support system of family and friends in Melbourne. Their loved ones are fully supportive of their journey—Geoff’s mum has even started knitting blankets in anticipation! With a large circle of friends at a similar stage in life, there is no shortage of encouragement, advice, and excitement as they move forward.
Choosing Canada was a very intentional decision. Given the challenges surrounding surrogacy for gay couples in Australia, Geoff and Joe were drawn to Canada’s well-regulated system and its focus on care, respect, and transparency for everyone involved.
They are most looking forward to the entire journey, especially forming a genuine connection with the incredible woman who will help them become parents. Of course, meeting their child for the first time is something they dream about often and know will be one of the most emotional and meaningful moments of their lives.
Geoff and Joe hope to build a warm, open, and authentic relationship with their surrogate—one that goes beyond the pregnancy itself. They value communication, trust, and shared experiences, and would love to stay connected through regular updates, virtual involvement in appointments where possible, and meaningful interactions along the way. After the birth, they hope to maintain a lasting friendship, sharing their child’s growth and creating opportunities to stay connected across Canada and Australia.
In their everyday lives, Geoff and Joe enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. They are both runners (with Joe tackling marathons and Geoff preferring shorter distances), and they also love golfing, hiking, and beach getaways. They enjoy weekends away with family and friends or relaxing trips to wine country.
They describe themselves as patient, grounded, and supportive partners who value strong communication and teamwork. Having navigated life’s challenges together—from long processes to delayed milestones—they bring resilience and perspective into this journey.
Geoff and Joe look forward to raising their children in a home filled with love, laughter, and strong values. They hope to pass on the lessons they’ve learned, encourage curiosity and kindness, and create a life rich in connection, adventure, and family.
