Michelle: CEO & Founder
Hi, I’m Michelle — a proud Canadian, wife, mother of six, and experienced gestational surrogate. Since 2008, I’ve been deeply involved in the world of third-party reproduction, completing five surrogate journeys and welcoming five baby boys into the world for their families. My final journey was in July 2019, but the impact surrogacy has had on my life — and the lives of my family — continues to inspire me every day.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring new surrogates, supporting women as a certified Doula in labour, postpartum, and fertility care, and advocating nationally for ethical, inclusive, and progressive changes in Canadian surrogacy legislation. My advocacy has taken me to Parliament Hill to speak with over 30 MPs, contribute to Health Canada’s roundtable discussions, and share my voice with communities around the world.
Professionally, I bring a strong background in business and legal administration, with diplomas in Business Administration (1995) and Paralegal Studies (2001), and over 20 years of leadership in office and department management.
Today, I’m honoured to be the CEO & founder of CSSC, and the broader Canadian surrogacy village — continuing to support, educate, and advocate for those navigating this incredible journey.
Krista: Intended Parent Support
Hi, I’m Krista — a two-time surrogate, Emergency Nurse of 15 years, and proud mom of two amazing kids (plus two dogs and four beloved chickens!). I live for family, animals, food, music, and the adrenaline of roller derby — but at the heart of it all, I’m passionate about helping others.
My background in emergency nursing has given me a deep understanding of communication, compassion, and teamwork — qualities that have only grown stronger through my surrogacy journeys. Those experiences opened my eyes to the incredible strength of the Canadian surrogacy community, as well as the emotional and logistical challenges many intended parents face on the path to building their families.
Now, as Intended Parent Support at CSSC, I’m here to be your steady guide — a compassionate listener, your biggest cheerleader, and a trusted resource every step of the way. My goal is to make this journey as smooth and supported as possible, while holding space for all the emotions and milestones along the way.
Let’s walk this path together — with care, clarity, and a whole lot of heart.
Cherie: Surrogate Intake Coordinator & Surrogate Support
Hi, I’m Cherie — a proud mom of three amazing children, wife to an incredibly supportive husband, and a two-time gestational surrogate. My journey into surrogacy was born from a lifelong goal to help others experience the joy of parenthood. After completing our own family, I felt a strong calling to support another woman in becoming a mother — and that dream became a reality through surrogacy.
With a background in childcare and years of experience operating a daycare, I’ve always been passionate about nurturing young lives. I believe that children learn most deeply from what they see, and it’s been deeply meaningful to show my own kids the power of kindness, compassion, and selflessness through my surrogate journeys.
Today, I’m honoured to serve as the Surrogate Intake Coordinator at CSSC. In this role, I support and guide new surrogates as they take their first steps into this life-changing path. My goal is to help grow the surrogacy community — one meaningful connection, one family, and one incredible journey at a time.
Danica: Intended Parent Support
Hi, I’m Danica — a proud wife and mother to Irish Twins just 11.5 months apart. My journey into surrogacy began in early 2018 when I felt drawn to the idea of helping others grow their families. Two years later, I delivered my first surrogate baby — a moment that filled me with immense gratitude and purpose. That experience solidified my passion and inspired me to continue supporting others as a gestational surrogate.
With a background in Operations and Human Resources, I bring strong communication skills, empathy, and a people-first mindset to everything I do. My personal experiences as a mother and wife have nurtured my instincts to support, protect, and uplift those around me — qualities I now carry into my role as an Intended Parent Support Specialist at CSSC.
I'm honoured to be part of a compassionate, dedicated team and to walk alongside intended parents on one of the most meaningful journeys of their lives. This work is more than a role — it’s a calling, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.
