Dara & Kiwan
Meet Dara & Kiwan
Intended Parents – British Columbia
Dara and Kiwan live in Port Moody, British Columbia, where they’ve built a life rooted in love, partnership, and shared values. Dara works as an Economist with the BC Public Service, while Kiwan is an Elevator Mechanic. Their story began on New Year’s Eve in 2002 at an outdoor celebration in downtown Vancouver. Just moments after the countdown, they wished each other a Happy New Year and struck up a conversation—one that, more than 20 years later, has never truly ended.
After two decades together and five years of marriage, Dara and Kiwan feel ready to take the next meaningful step in their journey: growing their family. Their decision is grounded in intention, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for connection—not only with each other, but with the person who may help them bring their child into the world.
“After the baby is born, we hope to have a lifelong friendship with our surrogate—sharing our lives, supporting one another, and creating meaningful experiences together,” they share. “We’d love to stay connected over time, whether through regular video chats or in-person visits, moving beyond small talk to build a genuine bond. If our surrogate lives near Greater Vancouver, we’d enjoy meeting for coffee, walks, or dinners. If she lives farther away, we’d still make an effort to meet every few years to nurture and maintain that relationship.”
You could be the one to help Dara and Kiwan realize their dream of parenthood. Becoming a surrogate is an extraordinary act of generosity—one that goes far beyond creating parents. You are helping build an entire family, shaping a future filled with love, connection, and possibility, and playing a lasting role in a story that will be cherished for generations.
